Μetropolitan College participated in the International Shipping Exhibition Posidonia, hosting the 4th International Conference on Maritime Education
Metropolitan College’s Maritime Academy successfully organized the International Conference on Maritime Education during the International Shipping Exhibition Posidonia, the heart of shipping. “The Impact of Geopolitics on the Future of Shipping” was the conference’s main theme and was widely developed in 2 discussion panels.
Aiming to highlight the new trends and developments in maritime education and the shipping industry, the panel talks were focused on the impact of Geopolitics on the future of Shipping, along with the challenges geopolitical crisis pose on the prioritization process already in progress in the shipping industry, and more specifically on its shift towards decarbonization and Green Shipping.
The conference was organized by Metropolitan College’s Maritime Academy, one of the biggest educational institutions in maritime and shipping studies in South Europe. International speakers of major shipping companies and industry stakeholders shared valuable and useful inputs.

The 4th International Conference on Maritime Education, organized by Metropolitan College’s Maritime Academy, will take place at Posidonia Seminar Room 1B [Hall 1].
