Future-Proofing Maritime Education: Integrating New Technology Standards into Academic Curricula

The maritime sector is undergoing a profound digital and environmental reset. As autonomous systems, AI, and green fuels move from theory to operational reality, the 8th International Conference on Maritime Education addresses the urgent need for a systemic overhaul of academic training.

This year, we bring together industry pioneers and academic leaders to synchronize the “classroom” with the “control room.” Our objective is to move beyond incremental updates and toward a future-ready curriculum that ensures seafarers and shore-based personnel are equipped for a high-tech, low-carbon future.
